This indulgent Salted Dark Chocolate Tart was inspired by Gimme Some Oven!!
We added our MAGICDATES twist on it and fell in LOVE with the rich, smooth, chocolate inside!
The creaminess from the coconut milk really brought this salted dark chocolate tart together! We got creative and added freeze-dried strawberries on top as well as melted chocolate 🍫 You can add fresh fruit if you prefer that texture or just keep it simple with the flaked sea salt!
This salted dark chocolate tart is not only a dessert but is the perfect way to celebrate any holiday! Have some fun with it and give it a try 😉
Ingredients:
For Crust:
-1 Bag MAGICDATES Salted Walnut Brownie Date Bites
-1 Cup Almond Flour
-1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
-1/4 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
-3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
-1/2 Tsp Salt
For Filling:
-1 1/2 Full Fat Coconut Milk
-16 oz. Dark Chocolate
-1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
-1/2 Tsp Salt
Process:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. For the crust, add the MAGICDATES bites to a food process and process until you get a grain like consistency. Add that to a bowl with the rest of the crust ingredients and combine until smooth. Add to tart pan and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until firm.
2. For the filling, add the dark chocolate to a bowl. Over medium heat, bring to a simmer the coconut milk. Make sure to not boil it. Pour warm milk over chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes letting the chocolate melt. Stir and whisk until smooth.
3. Pour over the melted chocolate on the crust and let cool until hard. We melted chocolate and added freeze dried strawberries to ours but you can top it with whatever you like.
We love this salted dark chocolate tart SOOO much that I've made two since! I gave a couple slices to my friends and they said it was one of their favorite recipes ✨
